Meet Protocol

Hip Numbers - Hip number pickup will be next to the climbing wall on the Southwest Corner of the track. Athletes should follow the instructions in this link - https://www.trxctiming.com/Illinois/College/SIUC/Track/HS/Invite/Hip_Number_Placement_SIUC.pdf

Clerking
Athlete's after picking up their hip number will report to the clerk. The clerk will be stationed near the start line of each specific race.

3200 Meter Run
Will run two sections at the normal scheduled time. Due to the oversized pole vault pit blocking lanes 1 and 2 it was not feasible to run an early section.

200 Athletes
I have seeded the 200. No need to declare your intention to compete. Simply pick up your hip number and report to the clerk.

Shot Put
82 boys and 61 girls is a lot for any meet. Athletes are seeded worst to best. 3 throws with the top 8 going to the finals. Warmup for each flight will be flight specifc. We will allow 15 minutes of warm-up per flight. If you are not in the flight that is up next you should not be warming up in the circle. Flight Specific. Minimum marks - Boys 38' and Girls 28'

Long and Triple Jump
Have been divided into 2 flights per each event. Best to Worst. 3 jumps no finals. Cafeteria style - Boys will have 1:45 per flight and girls - 1:15 per flight. See time schedule for times. Once pit closes from your assigned time, no additional jumps will be allowed.

Remaining Running events
We will go as fast as we can. Have your athletes ready. Report for your hip numbers and then to the clerk. Don't wait. Hip numbers can be picked up at any time. Report to the clerks 15 minutes prior to your event.
